All You Need To Know About The PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test)

The Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test or the PGECET is a state level common entrance exam in Andhra Pradesh for admission in various post graduate courses. The courses offered under this system are in fields of architecture, pharmacy, engineering and special Graduate level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate).  The exam for the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test for the year 2013 will be held on 22nd May, 2013 to 25th May 2013. The hall tickets for the PGECET 2013 can be downloaded from their official website itself.

  • The Masters Degree courses

The Masters Degree courses which can be taken after acquiring necessary scores in the PGECET are in the following subjects-
a)      Masters in Engineering
b)      Masters in Technology
c)      Masters in Pharmacy
d)     Masters in Architecture
e)      Special Graduate Level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate) Masters Degree

All these degrees will be provided for the academic year 2013 to 2014.

  • Who conducts the Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET)?

These exams are conducted by a statutory body of the Andhra Pradesh government, Osmania University on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh state council of higher education (APSCHE), and the University College of Engineering.

  • Important dates to keep in mind for Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test 2013

Here is a list of important dates which you should keep in mind if you are going to appear for the PGECET –

  • Notification date- 27th February, 2013
  • Online applications to be given from- 4th March, 2013
  • Last date for SUBMITTING online applications- 15th March 2013
  • Hall ticket download- 13th May 2013 to 20th May 2013
  • Dates for examination of PGECET- 22nd May, 2013 to 25th May 2013

IMPORTANT NOTE- Students must note that if they fail to submit the online application on time, they will have to pay a late fee of Rupees 500 and the late fee submission will be accepted till 29th April 2013. Students who fail to submit beyond 29th April 2013 will have to pay extra late fees of Rupees 2000. No applications will be accepted after 6th May 2013.
